Catnip Terms of Service

1. Eligibility and Account

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required by law in your country, to use Catnip. If you are under the age of majority, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity under your account. Catnip supports account access through email, Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, and other supported authentication methods.

2. Catnip Services

Catnip lets users create, edit, remix, publish, view, comment on, like, follow, report, block, and share AI-generated interactive content.

Some features may depend on third-party services, device permissions, network availability, or platform integrations. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

Catnip currently does not provide paid subscriptions or in-app payment features in the iOS app. The current iOS app does not include Stripe or another payment SDK for in-app payment processing. If paid features are introduced, additional payment terms may apply.

3. Your Content

"Your Content" means prompts, text, images, videos, audio, comments, profile information, drafts, uploads, feedback, and other content you submit, create, publish, or share through Catnip.

You are responsible for Your Content. You must have the rights and permissions needed to upload, generate, edit, publish, remix, or share it.

You retain any rights you have in Your Content. By using Catnip, you grant Catnip a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, display, publish, distribute, modify for technical formatting, and use Your Content as needed to operate, improve, secure, moderate, and provide the Services.

If you publish or share content publicly, other users may view, interact with, remix, save, or share it through Catnip features.

You should not upload or share private, confidential, or sensitive information unless you have the rights and permissions to do so and understand that the feature you use may process, store, publish, or share that content.

4. AI-Generated Content

Catnip uses AI-assisted tools to help generate, edit, remix, and preview content. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, unexpected, offensive, or similar to output generated for other users.

You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before publishing, sharing, or relying on it. Catnip does not provide legal, medical, financial, professional, or safety advice.

As between you and Catnip, you may use AI-generated output you create through Catnip, subject to these Terms, applicable law, third-party rights, and platform rules.

AI features may use prompts, uploaded media, audio, drafts, edits, and related context to generate or modify content. You are responsible for making sure you have permission to submit that material.

5. Community Rules

You agree not to create, upload, publish, share, or promote content or activity that:

• violates any law or regulation;
• infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
• contains child sexual abuse material or exploits minors;
• promotes violence, terrorism, self-harm, weapons, illegal drugs, or serious physical harm;
• harasses, threatens, abuses, doxxes, or targets other users;
• promotes hatred or discrimination based on protected characteristics;
• impersonates others or creates misleading deepfakes without appropriate rights or consent;
• contains sexually explicit or exploitative content;
• spreads malware, spam, scams, deceptive links, or abusive automation;
• interferes with Catnip's systems, security, ranking, recommendations, or user experience.

6. Moderation and Enforcement

Catnip may review, restrict, remove, down-rank, or disable content or accounts that violate these Terms, our policies, platform rules, or applicable law.

We may also use reports, blocklist actions, technical signals, user feedback, and safety tools to investigate abuse and protect the community.

Enforcement actions may include content removal, feature limits, account suspension, account termination, or reporting to appropriate authorities where required.

We may also retain records related to moderation, reports, abuse prevention, security, debugging, and legal compliance as described in the Privacy Policy.

7. Third-Party Services and Sharing

Catnip integrates with third-party services for authentication, backend infrastructure, analytics, attribution, push notifications, crash reporting, diagnostics, user feedback, AI/content processing, storage, and sharing.

Catnip may also let you share content to third-party platforms such as TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, or other apps. Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

The current iOS app uses third-party services such as Apple, Google, Firebase, Supabase, PostHog, Airbridge, Sentry, TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, and related platform services. These services may change over time as the app evolves.

Catnip is not responsible for third-party platforms, SDKs, websites, content, policies, or actions.

8. Account Deletion

You may delete your account through the app where available. Account deletion may remove or disable access to your account information, but some records may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy, including for legal, safety, backup, fraud-prevention, debugging, or enforcement reasons.

9. Intellectual Property

Catnip, including its software, design, interface, trademarks, logos, systems, and related technology, is owned by Catnip or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not grant you any rights to Catnip's brand, software, source code, models, systems, or proprietary technology except the limited right to use the Services as allowed by these Terms.

10. Copyright Complaints

If you believe content on Catnip infringes your copyright, contact us with:

• your name and contact information;
• identification of the copyrighted work;
• identification of the allegedly infringing content;
• a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is unauthorized;
• a statement that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act;
• your physical or electronic signature.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how Catnip collects, uses, shares, and protects information. By using Catnip, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

12. Service Availability

Catnip is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at all times.

We may update, test, limit, remove, or change features at any time.

13. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Catnip disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and reliability.

You use Catnip and any AI-generated content at your own risk.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Catnip will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost content, business interruption, or loss of goodwill.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Catnip's total liability for any claim related to the Services will not exceed USD $100.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice through the Services or another appropriate method. Continued use of Catnip after the updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
